Frequently asked questions

RallyPTA is software for running a PTA or PTO — a family directory, dues collection, volunteer sign-ups, treasury and budgeting, and officer communication, all in one place instead of spread across a spreadsheet, a sign-up tool, a payment app, and an email list.

Dues are collected through your PTA's own Stripe account, connected during setup. Payments go directly to your PTA — RallyPTA never holds or touches your funds, and takes zero cut of what families pay. You can also record cash, check, or other payments manually and they'll show up in the same ledger.

Whoever creates the organization becomes President and can invite co-officers by email from Roles & Invites, assigning each one a role (President, Treasurer, Secretary, etc.) that controls what they can see and do. Invited officers sign in the same way — magic link or password, no separate account setup.

Yes — from the Members page, use "Import CSV" to bulk-add families from a spreadsheet (contact name, email, phone, directory opt-in, and kids/grades). You can also add families one at a time if you prefer.

Yes. Every organization gets a public sign-up page families can use to register themselves — no account needed — and it supports multiple guardians per household in one submission, so co-parents in different homes can each be linked to the same family instead of typing in duplicate records. Officers can also customize what's collected (a mailing address, a second guardian's employer, a child's t-shirt size) from Settings → Sign-Up Fields, and those fields show up on both the public page and the officer dashboard.

Add incoming officers as co-officers before outgoing officers leave so nothing is lost — your PTA's members, dues history, treasury records, and past announcements all stay with the organization, not with any one person's account. Outgoing officers can also build a transition packet for their successor — key contacts, an access checklist, and anything they wish they'd known — from the Officers page.
